Porsche Works Drivers Turn Back Time

Motorsport News

Two days before the start of the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring, Porsche has turned back time and presented the motoring fans with “Semper Vivus”, the first operable automobile with fully hybrid drive which Ferdinand Porsche developed in 1900.  With the reconstruction of the earliest known ancestor of the Porsche 911 GT3 R hybrid, Porsche works drivers Jöerg Bergmeister , Richard Lietz, Patrick Long and Marco Holzer drove the Hybrid through a crowd of fans to the autograph hour – and nearly silent!

The Porsche 911 GT3 R hybrid made its first appearance at the 2010 24hrs of Nurburgring and rang in a new chapter in the story of extremely successful Porsche racing and the “Porsche intelligent Performance” campaign.
