Five drivers including Porsche Driver Hans Hermann will join the prestigious Sebring Hall of Fame

Hans Herrmann is a two-time Sebring winner in addition to his Le Mans victory in 1970. His first Sebring win in 1960 was also the first for Porsche as he co-drove an RS60 to victory with Olivier Gendebien. Herrmann returned to victory lane in 1968 when he drove a Porsche 908 to victory with Jo Siffert. Herrmann also won his class at Sebring in 1956 and 1966.

In 2002 the raceway celebrated the 50th running of the 12 Hours of Sebring. In honor of all the distinguished drivers and car manufactures that have raced in this event the Sebring Hall of Fame was formed. The prestigious luncheon occurs every other year on the Friday before the race, with the next induction coming in 2012. Inductees include such greats as Alec and Mary Ulmann, Juan Manuel Fangio, Carroll Shelby, Porsche, Dan Gurney, Sir Stirling Moss, Mario Andretti, Bobby Rahal, Ferrari, Phil Hill, Briggs Cunningham and Brian Redman. The 2008 honorees were Roger Penske, Hans Stuck, Derek Bell, David Cowart and Audi.
