“Brumos Racing 2011: Tradition, Commitment, Success”

After a record setting season of hard work and a few miracles, Brumos Racing’s amazing 2011 GT Championship Season is captured in an amazing new limited edition book. Author and sports photographer Bob Chapman’s brilliant photography and rich text focuses on the championship chase in the 2011 Grand-Am Rolex GT Series.

The 2011 season was one of transition for the Brumos crew. At January’s Rolex 24 at Daytona, a brand new No. 59 was introduced to competition – a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup wearing Brumos’ traditional red-and-blue sweeps. After eight years campaigning Porsche-Powered Rileys in Grand-Am’s Daytona Prototype class, the team returned to its roots – GT racing. And despite significant challenges involved with the transition, it was a season of great success. Only eight months after that Daytona debut, Brumos Racing was crowned Grand-Am Rolex Series GT Champions, an amazing finish given the quality of competition in the class.

“Brumos Racing 2011: Tradition, Commitment, Success” commemorates the achievements of the entire team. All the highs and lows of 2011 are covered across 150 pages in this 11″x17″ hardbound coffee-table book: From gearbox and setup struggles at Homestead to exultation at The Six Hours of The Glen; from a broken alternator belt at New Jersey to an epic charge through the field at Mid-Ohio; the stories are weaved chronologically and are punctuated by nearly 300 photos from tracks, pits and paddocks across North America.

This Limited Edition publication will first be released at a special evening to toast the 2011 GT Championship, on December 19, 2011 at the Brumos Porsche Showroom. Along with the entire Brumos Racing team, the winning drivers Leh Keen, Andrew Davis and Bob Chapman will attend. This will include an exclusive chance to have the author and drivers available for a book signing. A more detailed look into this event and publication is now available at brumosracing.com/2011GTChamps.
