Leh Keen Returns to AJR

Tavares, FL  – January 13, 2011 Alex Job Racing (AJR) will return to the American Le Mans Series (ALMS) GTC class with drivers Bill Sweedler, Leh Keen and Brian Wong.  Battery Tender will also return as a sponsor on the No. 23 Battery Tender/Alex Job Racing/Porsche GT3 Cup car. The team which won two races in 2010, the highlight being a total podium sweep of the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring, is looking forward to heading back to that historic event with a strong driver line-up.

Bill Sweedler was in the thick of the GTC championship hunt right up to the final event at Road Atlanta.  Sweedler posted four podium finishes and was honored at the season ending banquet as the Founders Cup and Yokohama Ladder award winner.

Leh Keen makes his return to the team after his pole and race winning splash at Sebring last year.  Keen also posted fastest lap time at the Grand-Am Rolex test session at Daytona International Speedway last weekend in a Porsche GT3 Cup car.

Brian Wong brings a lot of experience from different types of cars.  Wong has laps in the Porsche GT3 Cup car and competes regularly in the west coast K&N Pro Series for stock cars.  In addition, his resume includes runs in the ALMS LMPC cars.  Wong will join the team at selected events including Sebring, Road Atlanta, Road America, Lime Rock and Laguna Seca.Team owner Alex Job is preparing his team for Sebring with the goal of winning that historic race an eighth time.

“We have a strong team heading into the 2011 season,” Job said.  “Bill is coming back to see if he can get the championship that we were so close to winning last year.  Leh is really fast and it was great that we could get him in the car for the majority of the season.  He really turned a lot of heads at Sebring last year and that gives us a lot of confidence heading into the season opener in March.  Brian brings a wide variety of experience driving Porsches, prototypes and stock cars to the team.  We are working hard toward a strong season opener at Sebring.”

The ALMS series will start its season on March 19 with the running of the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring.
