Macan Will Be Unveiled at LA Auto Show 2013
The newest member of the Porsche family will be unveiled at this year’s Los Angeles Auto Show our inside sources say. The highly-anticipated “Baby Cayenne” will finally be introduced to the public after years of teasing and speculation around the November 22, 2013 show.
9 Magazine has been reporting in detail about the upcoming Porsche Macan crossover that will sit below the Cayenne in the line-up. We have posted spy shots of what we believe to be the final exterior design of the second crossover from Porsche testing here in the USA. Now, through our sources we have confirmed that the production model of the Macan will be shown in LA this November.
The new Macan S will feature a 3.0L Bi-Turbo powerplant and list for $52,000 while the Macan Turbo variant will feature a 3.6L Bi-Turbo and start at $75,000.
As the fifth Porsche model line, the Macan is a central plank of Strategy 2018, by which the sports car manufacturer wishes to expand its model portfolio. Porsche intends the Macan to emulate the success of the Cayenne, and with a price point at this level, this should be a no-brainer.
