2014 Porsche 911 Turbo Spied Completely Undisguised
9Magazine has recently uncovered a new set of spy shots that show the new Porsche 911 Turbo completely undisguised.
Looking closely at the prototype of the next-generation model, we can clearly see the side intake ports, as well as its wider rear and oversized rear spoiler. The 991 style rear blends nicely together with a modified deck led for the Turbo. The rear bumper also features additional cooling vents on its flanks as well as an integrated rear diffuser.
Looking from the front, we notice the new front facia with LED lights integrated higher into the bumper along with a new chiseled front lip. A new side mirror design is seen here with a ventilated opening at the mount.
An advanced tri-turbo setup has been reported as a possibility, with the addition of a third turbocharger used to improve low-end response for blistering off the line performance. We will have to wait for the official announcement from Porsche on this one, since no visual clues are present aside from a new dual-twin exhaust setup similar to the Cayenne and Panamera Turbo.
We expect the new car to debut soon, most likely at September’s Frankfurt Auto Show before reaching showrooms around the end of the year as a 2014 model.
